Pass for a minor child (-18 years old)

Please bring the originals and copies of the requested documents!

Request to be made by mail or by going directly to the Consulate

1) Sending the file by registered mail

Send the documents below:

  • Applicant's birth certificate

Depending on the case:

A. Photocopy of Georgian Birth Certificate

B. Acte de naissance d’un citoyen géorgien né en France – un acte de naissance international plurilingue, qui doit être certifié par une apostille. (Un acte de naissance délivré dans ce format ne nécessite plus de traduction supplémentaire ni d’apostille pour la traduction.) 

C. Birth certificate issued by CIS countries, translated into Georgian.

D. Birth certificate issued by other countries: original document and, where applicable, legalized or apostilled by the competent authorities of the country of origin. Original translation made by a sworn person.

Depending on the country, documents bearing the legalization stamp or apostille (see the table on the website ).

  • Photocopy of the identity document of one of the parents of the person concerned (National Identity Card or passport).
  • 2 color biometric ID photos on a white background
  • Parental authorization (see model at bottom of page)

The authorization must be original, drawn up by a notary (legalization of the signature), and bear the apostille. (See below for the authorization template). The authorization of one of the parents is sufficient.

  • Fill out the form (see form below)
  • Payment of fees: free for minor children
  • To obtain an Apostille in France, contact the Court of Appeal, the District Court or the High Court.

How to receive the pass?

The applicant must enclose with his/her application a registered letter envelope (A4 or A5 format) with his/her exact postal address (for a pass). The pass will be sent with this envelope to the applicant's home address.

2) Direct request to the Consulate by one of the two parents

- Complete the form and make an appointment on the website
- Arrive at the appointment with the following documents:

  • Applicant's birth certificate

Depending on the case:

A. Photocopy of Georgian Birth Certificate

B. French birth certificate, apostilled.

C. Birth certificate issued by CIS countries, translated into Georgian.

D. Birth certificate issued by other countries: original document and, where applicable, legalized or apostilled by the competent authorities of the country of origin. Original translation made by a sworn person.

Depending on the country, documents bearing the legalization stamp or apostille (see the table on the website ).

  • Identity document of the parent of the person concerned (National Identity Card or passport). The minor is not required to appear.
  • 2 color biometric ID photos on a white background
  • Parental authorization

Either parent can write parental consent to the Consulate when submitting the application. Authorization from one parent is sufficient.

  • Payment of fees: free for minor children
